I have new poems appearing soon in Naugatuck River Review, Florida Review, Pearl, CALYX and Passager.
I wasn’t feeling too beautiful, or too healthy, here on Jan. 22, 2011, right in the middle of six months of chemotherapy, but the excellent turnout and support of friends and fans was exhilarating. The setting – amid the elegant works of art at Scott Laurent Collection in Winter Park, Florida – added to the night’s magic.
Pamela Ramey Tatum, an artist in New Smyrna Beach, FL, created a painting inspired by my poem “Dim Doorways.”
It was one of several pairings in the “Time Passages” artistic and literary collaboration that opened Jan. 20, 2011, at the Gallery at Avalon Island in downtown Orlando.
