‘Tango’ — From Silence to Celebration

With a little help from my friends and my son (okay, a lot of help) — and the support of my pictured co-workers — I celebrated the launch of Tango in the most perfect place I could imagine: the Timucua Arts Foundation’s performing arts theater.

The space shimmered with conversation, laughter and the clink of mimosas. The food was delicious, the company generous.

Most of all, it was a joy to connect with an enthusiastic audience through shared language and lived experience — especially since Tango, like all books, came together in solitude.
