‘Flame’ Release Party on Feb. 25

Come celebrate the release of my new chapbook, Flame, with a party and reading at the sumptuous Scott Laurent gallery in Winter Park.  If you came in January 2011 when Beauty Lessons was released, you won’t want to miss the sequel. And if you missed the first reading, you can make up for it in February. There will be a short reading, book signing, wine and cheese (and maybe even a bit of shopping).

The Pink Ribbon Project

pink ribbon project“Infusion Fridays,” one of my new poems about my breast cancer journey, was performed by an actor in The Pink Ribbon Project at the Orlando Repertory Theatre in September.

Directed by Aradhana Tiwari, the night of drama, dance and visual art inspired by women fighting the disease took place Sept. 16, 17 and 18 in Orlando, FL.

Three hundred fifteen people attended the show. More than $4,600 was raised for the Breast Cancer Fund at Florida Hospital Cancer Institute to pay for mammograms for uninsured and underserved women.
